The following information below is very important and will help you in ensuring you receive the best advice in taking care of your new mattress and giving you a carefree night's sleep.
Do not bend or fold the mattress as this can damage the spring unit and may invalidate the warranty.
It is important to rotate your mattress weekly for the first 3-months, then every 4 weeks thereafter. Use the handles if fitted to position the mattress on the bed. Do not carry the mattress with the handles. Please do not let the mattress fall against the surface of the divan, as this may damage the spring system. Assistance may be required. The label will tell you need rotate mattress.
Filling settlement should not be regarded as a manufacturing defect. Regular turning/rotating of your mattress will help the fillings to settle down evenly and will help prolong the life span of the mattress.
We recommend that you use a mattress protector, which will help prevent the dyes used in some bed linen transferring onto the mattress which can happen as a reaction to body moisture. Regular airing of the mattress every 3 months will reduce moisture build.
Avoid soiling or staining of the product, as these are deemed a health & safety Hazards and will invalidate your warranty. We always recommend using a mattress protector.
Do not use chemicals or detergent cleaners as these may adversely affect the fabric covering, stitching and may also affect some of the filling materials used. In case of soiling, the mattress may be lightly sponged with a weak solution of soap and water. Excessive wetting will damage the Mattress.
If you must store the mattress for any period, please make sure it is stored flat and not on its side, as this will distort the spring unit and cause the fillings to settle unevenly and drastically shorten the life of your mattress.
If you purchase a mattress only, do not use on a base that is not suitable for the mattress, as the life of mattress can be severely reduced and invalidate your warranty.
Any defacement or removal of product labelling will invalidate the warranty.

Your warranty will be invalid if any of the conditions above have been contravened.
What to expect from your new mattress?
Great night’s sleep.
However, a new mattress can take a bit of getting used to. We have been making mattress for the last 30 years, so we know some of the questions that might come up when using your new mattress for the first couple of nights.
Did you know that most potential & common mattress problems occur due to a mattress not being supported properly?
Always remember to check the divan or the frame to make sure that it is properly supported. The divan should have all castors attached and in place securely. If the divan is split, both pieces should be flush, and attached properly.
The slatted bed or frame should have proper centre support, and the slats should be no more than 63mm apart.
A mattress that is not properly supported may not function properly.
What to do if mattress feels too warm?
The feeling that it is “too warm” or “too hot” while sleeping in the new sleep.
Are you using a quilt or a blanket, if so what type?
You may experience a change in sleeping habits or your sleeping patterns. Your quilt or blanket should be adjusted to accommodate this change. If you are feeling too hot, try sleeping with a lighter weight quilt or blanket.
Are you using a mattress protector? If so, what type?
Often the mattress protector that is being used can create the feeling of the bed being “too warm or too hot”. Consider changing the mattress protector if this is the case.
What is Body Signature (Settlement)?
You may look at the bed see a “dip” or “impression” in their mattress and think that it is faulty or defective. This “impression”, or Body Signature, is normal for a mattress that conforms to the body.
Is what you are seeing a fault, or just a Body Signature?
Modern day mattresses are manufactured differently to those of the past. We use “conforming” materials. These materials are much better than older, traditional, natural components used years ago. These new materials allow the bed to conform to your body, and do not force your body to conform to the bed. This is critical for allowing your body to stay in one position longer during the night. It is normal and desirable.
Sometimes it can also seem as if the bed has a “ridge” in the middle of it. This “ridge” is the result of two Body Signatures, one on each side of the bed. Again, this is normal and desirable.
A general rule, the more expensive the mattresses the greater the degree of the body signature you will experience, as more expensive mattresses generally use more conforming layers.
The reason that “Body Signatures” occur is that the conforming layers may lose a small percentage of its height and firmness in the first several months of use. After several months of use, the foams stabilize, and no further height loss should be experienced.
Are you rotating your mattress?
So that the fillings conform to your body evenly we recommend that the mattress be rotated once a week for the first 6 weeks and then every month thereafter will help to ensure that settlement from body pressures is evenly distributed.
We want to provide our customers with sustainable disposal solutions for the products they purchase from us. We have therefore listed options available to dispose of end-of-life products:
• Most, if not all local councils offer a collection and disposal service for bulky waste. However, this can be surprisingly expensive and there is no guarantee that your items won’t end up in landfill.
• Your local tip will usually take your mattresses and beds, but you will need to take them yourself.
• Many companies who sell beds will offer a collection and disposal service (usually at a cost agreed upon during the purchase of the new product).
• Donate your mattress to charity (if the mattress is clean and in good condition) organisations like the British Heart Foundation, British Red Cross, and Emmaus will usually accept your mattress.
• Donate the product to someone in need using non–profit initiatives like Freecycle or even Facebook Marketplace.
What happens to the mattresses we recycle?
• All the mattresses we recycle are sent to a Registered Approved Mattress Recycling (RAMR) company. All the mattresses are stripped, and each material is given a new life. No materials go to landfill, but some materials are recovered and sent to energy from waste. The image opposite lets you see what new life your end-of-life mattress has been given.
Fully Recyclable Packaging
• All our products are delivered in plastic bags that are made up of at least 30% recycled plastic and are 100% recyclable. We have also joined forces with our packaging supplier who takes all clear plastic from our site and recycles them back into our mattress bags.
